Our research approach is focused on the education and revalorisation of candy. It aims to provide links between food and pedagogy by offering solutions for education with sugar (« food literacy ») while using the rituals and spirit that surround candy. It is meant to stimulate young children to engage in play with a responsible consumption of sugar.
Bonbonera finds inspiration in the amusement of games in general and the importance of candies with all its positive social values and rituals–for example, candy as exchange currency, the traditions «trick or treat», etc.
